INVESTOR PERSPECTIVE

A Pitch Deck Is More Than a Presentation

Investors are not simply evaluating your slides. They are evaluating your business.

A pitch deck may contain only a limited number of slides, but behind those slides an investor is trying to understand whether your business opportunity is attractive, scalable, financially sensible and worth exploring further.

THE REAL PURPOSE OF A PITCH DECK

Help an Investor Understand the Opportunity Quickly

The objective is not to put every detail about your business into a presentation. The objective is to identify the most important business, market, financial and funding information and present it in a logical investor-focused sequence.

A professionally structured pitch deck should create enough clarity and interest for the investor to move to the next level of discussion, evaluation or due diligence.

Presentation Design vs. Investor Communication

Attractive design is important, but it cannot replace a strong underlying investment story.

A Typical Presentation Approach
  • Focuses mainly on appearance
  • Uses generic business statements
  • May contain too much text
  • Financial story may be weak or disconnected
  • Funding requirement may not be explained properly
An Investor-Focused Approach
  • Starts with the business opportunity
  • Explains how the business creates value
  • Highlights relevant market and traction
  • Connects strategy with financial numbers
  • Clearly presents funding need and use of funds
WHAT AN INVESTOR MAY WANT TO KNOW

The Questions Behind the Slides

Your pitch deck should help investors begin answering important questions such as:

01
What problem or opportunity exists? Why does the market need this business, product or solution?
02
What exactly is the business offering? What is the product, service, technology or commercial proposition?
03
How large is the opportunity? What market, customer segment or growth potential is being targeted?
04
How does the business make money? What is the revenue model and how can it scale?
05
Why can this team execute the plan? What promoter, management or operating capability supports the opportunity?
06
What financial potential exists? What do revenue, margins, growth and projected performance indicate?
07
How much capital is required? What is the fundraising requirement and why is that amount required?
08
How will the funds be used? Where will investor capital be deployed to support growth?
CA
This is why we do not treat an Investor Pitch Deck merely as a PowerPoint design assignment. Our focus is to convert your business information, strategy, financial data and funding requirement into a structured investor-facing communication document.
WHAT WE INCLUDE

What Our Investor Pitch Deck Service Includes

From business information to a clear, structured and investor-focused story.

Every business is different, so we do not use a rigid one-size-fits-all pitch deck structure. The final presentation is developed around your business model, stage, funding requirement and the information most relevant to a prospective investor.

01 🏢

Company Overview

A concise introduction to the company, promoters, present business, current stage, vision and the opportunity being presented to investors.

02 🎯

Problem or Market Need

Clear presentation of the customer problem, industry gap, unmet need or commercial opportunity that creates the basis for the business.

03 💡

Solution & Business Proposition

Explanation of your product, service, technology, platform, manufacturing capability or business solution and why it is relevant.

04 📈

Market Opportunity

Relevant market size, customer segments, industry drivers, demand potential and growth opportunity, based on the available information and agreed scope.

05

Business & Revenue Model

How the business earns or proposes to earn revenue, including key revenue streams, commercial model and scalability where relevant.

06 📦

Products or Services

Structured presentation of key products, service lines, technology, manufacturing capacity or proposed portfolio that supports the investment opportunity.

07

Competitive Positioning

Important differentiators, strengths, competitive advantages, barriers to entry and positioning against available alternatives.

08 🚀

Traction & Achievements

Relevant sales, customers, orders, capacity, partnerships, operating milestones, pilot results or other evidence of business progress.

09 🧭

Growth Strategy

How the company proposes to scale revenues, customers, capacity, distribution, products, geography or market reach over time.

12 👥

Promoter & Management Profile

Relevant experience, qualifications, operating background and execution capability of the promoters and key management team.

The Final Deck Should Tell One Consistent Investment Story

The value of a pitch deck is not in having twelve or fifteen separate slides. The value comes from making sure that the market opportunity, business strategy, financial numbers and funding requirement support each other logically.

1 Opportunity
2 Business Model
3 Growth
4 Financials
5 Funding Ask
i
The exact pitch deck structure is customised.

A manufacturing expansion, established MSME, early-stage startup, technology platform and pre-revenue venture should not all be presented using the same generic template. We select and organise sections according to the actual business and fundraising context.

WHO THIS SERVICE IS FOR

Who Should Use Our Investor Pitch Deck Service?

Suitable for businesses preparing for serious investor discussions.

Whether you are an early-stage startup, an established MSME or a manufacturing business planning expansion, the pitch deck should reflect your actual stage, funding requirement and growth opportunity.

🚀
STARTUPS

Startups Preparing for Angel or Seed Investors

Suitable for founders who need to present the problem, solution, business model, market opportunity, traction, financial outlook and funding requirement in a structured format.

🌱
EARLY-STAGE COMPANIES

Businesses Planning Their First Organised Fundraise

Useful where the business has begun operations or validation but the investment story, financial presentation and funding ask still need professional structuring.

🏭
MSMEs

MSMEs Seeking Growth Capital

Appropriate for established businesses that want to raise capital for expansion, capacity enhancement, new products, new markets, technology or working-capital-linked growth.

⚙️
MANUFACTURING

Manufacturing Businesses Planning Expansion

Suitable where the investment proposition needs to explain existing operations, installed capacity, proposed expansion, market demand, project economics and deployment of investor capital.

🤝
STRATEGIC CAPITAL

Businesses Seeking Strategic Investors

Useful when the objective is not only capital but also a strategic relationship involving market access, distribution, technology, industry expertise or long-term business collaboration.

📊
EQUITY PARTICIPATION

Promoters Considering Equity Investment

Suitable for promoters who are evaluating external equity participation and need to professionally communicate the business opportunity before entering detailed investment discussions.

💼
PRIVATE CAPITAL

Businesses Approaching HNIs, Family Offices or Private Investors

A structured pitch deck can help present the business, financial performance, growth plan and investment requirement before detailed discussions begin.

🏢
ESTABLISHED COMPANIES

Established Businesses Presenting a New Growth Opportunity

Useful when an existing company is entering a new geography, product segment, manufacturing line or business vertical and needs to present the proposed opportunity separately to investors.

📑
EXISTING DPR / FINANCIALS

Businesses That Already Have a DPR or Financial Projections

If detailed financial or project documentation already exists, we can help convert the most relevant information into a concise, investor-facing pitch deck.

PARTICULARLY USEFUL WHEN

You Know Your Business Well — But the Investor Story Is Not Yet Clear

Many promoters understand their operations, customers and industry extremely well, but find it difficult to convert that knowledge into a short and structured presentation that an external investor can quickly understand.

01

Your existing presentation contains too much information and lacks a clear investor flow.

02

Your pitch deck looks attractive but does not explain the financial opportunity properly.

03

You have projections or a DPR, but the information is too detailed for an initial investor discussion.

04

Your funding requirement and proposed use of funds are not being communicated clearly.

05

You need one consistent presentation that connects your business strategy, growth plan and financial numbers.

The service is not limited to technology startups. We can structure investor presentations for manufacturing, traditional businesses, MSMEs, service businesses and established companies where there is a genuine investment or growth proposition.
FINANCIAL THINKING

Financial Thinking Behind the Pitch Deck

Design attracts attention. Numbers create serious investor discussion.

A pitch deck can look impressive and still become weak the moment an investor starts asking questions about revenue, margins, capital requirement, growth assumptions, valuation or use of funds.

WHERE MANY PITCH DECKS BECOME WEAK

The Investor Starts Looking Beyond the Slides

Once an investor develops initial interest, the discussion often moves quickly from the business story to the underlying financial logic.

01 Revenue Assumptions

What is driving the projected growth in sales?

02 Margins

Are gross and operating margins commercially reasonable?

03 Capital Requirement

Why is this amount of funding actually required?

04 Working Capital

How much cash will be required to support the growth plan?

05 Break-Even

When can the business or proposed expansion become sustainable?

06 Use of Funds

Where will the investor’s capital actually be deployed?

07 Valuation

What financial and business logic supports the proposed valuation?

08 Future Performance

What assumptions support projected profitability and scale?

OUR DIFFERENTIATOR

Financial Understanding Behind the Presentation

Our experience in DPR preparation, CMA Data, financial projections, project finance and business valuation advisory helps us look beyond slide design and understand the financial questions that may arise during investor discussions.

Important pitch-deck numbers are presented in a concise and understandable format.

Financial highlights are selected based on what is relevant to the business and funding proposition.

The funding requirement is linked with the proposed deployment of capital.

Where underlying financial projections are available, the pitch deck can be aligned with the broader financial story.

CA
CA Manish Gugliya FCA, DISA (ICAI) 20+ Years of Professional Experience
FINANCIAL CONSISTENCY

Your Pitch Deck Should Not Tell a Different Story From Your Financial Model

Where a DPR, financial model, business valuation or projections are available within the engagement, the important numbers used in the pitch deck should remain logically aligned with the underlying financial information.

01
Business Strategy What the company plans to do
02
Financial Model What the assumptions indicate
03
Funding Requirement How much capital is needed
04
Investor Pitch Deck How the story is communicated
!
Important Professional Note

Preparation of a pitch deck does not constitute certification, assurance or guarantee of future financial performance, valuation, investor return or successful fundraising. Financial projections and assumptions are estimates prepared for planning and presentation purposes based on available information and the agreed scope of work.

OUR DEVELOPMENT PROCESS

How We Develop Your Investor Pitch Deck

We build the investor story before we build the slides.

A professional pitch deck should not begin with colours, templates or slide design. It should begin with a clear understanding of your business, fundraising objective, financial position and the information an investor actually needs to evaluate the opportunity.

01
🔍
STAGE ONE

Understanding Your Business

We first understand what the business does, where it currently stands and what opportunity is being presented to prospective investors.

Company and promoter background

Products or services

Business and revenue model

Existing operations and traction

Growth plans

Current business stage

02
💰
STAGE TWO

Understanding the Fundraise

We then identify what the business is trying to achieve through the proposed fundraising exercise and what type of investor discussion the deck is expected to support.

Proposed funding requirement

Purpose of fundraising

Proposed use of funds

Target investor category

Equity or strategic capital context

Current stage of investor discussions

03
🧩
STAGE THREE

Structuring the Investment Story

We decide what information should receive prominence, what should be simplified and how the overall story should progress from the business opportunity to the funding requirement.

Opportunity Why the business or proposed expansion deserves attention
Business Model How value and revenue are created
Growth Case How the company intends to scale
Investment Case Why external capital is required
04
📊
STAGE FOUR

Financial Alignment

Where financial projections, a DPR, valuation or other supporting financial information is available within the agreed scope, we align the key pitch-deck numbers with the broader financial story.

01 Revenue
02 Margins
03 Growth
04 Funding
05 Use of Funds
Our objective: the business strategy, financial information and funding ask should support each other logically.
05
STAGE FIVE

Professional Investor Presentation

Once the underlying business story and financial logic are structured, the information is converted into a concise, professional and visually organised pitch deck.

Clear Slide Hierarchy

Important information receives appropriate prominence.

Concise Content

The deck avoids unnecessary detail and excessive text.

Charts & Key Figures

Relevant numbers are presented visually where useful.

Consistent Narrative

The deck progresses logically from opportunity to funding ask.

OUR APPROACH

Strategy First. Slides Second.

The objective is not simply to create a beautiful presentation. It is to create an investor-facing document where the business opportunity, growth strategy, financial story and funding requirement are presented as one coherent proposition.

A Strong Pitch Deck Improves Presentation — It Does Not Guarantee Investment

We help you present your business opportunity professionally and clearly. However, preparation of an Investor Pitch Deck does not guarantee investor interest, meetings, term sheets, valuation acceptance or successful fundraising.

Investment decisions remain entirely with prospective investors and depend on business quality, market conditions, financial performance, valuation expectations, due diligence, transaction terms and other commercial factors.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE PRESENTATION

Why Work With CA Manish Gugliya?

Your Investor Pitch Deck should combine business understanding, financial thinking and professional presentation.

An investor presentation is not simply a design exercise. The business model, financial story, funding requirement, use of funds and growth proposition need to support each other. Our approach brings financial and project advisory experience into the preparation of the pitch deck.

OUR APPROACH

We Look at the Business Behind the Slides

01

What is the actual business opportunity?

02

How does the company generate revenue?

03

What financial story supports the growth plan?

04

Why is capital required and where will it be deployed?

05

How should the opportunity be communicated to investors?

WHAT DIFFERENTIATES OUR APPROACH

Financial Understanding + Investor Communication

The objective is not to make the maximum number of slides. The objective is to communicate the investment opportunity with clarity, financial logic and professional credibility.

01

CA-Led Financial Understanding

Financial information is viewed in the context of revenue, profitability, project cost, working capital, funding requirement and business growth.

02

Experience With DPR & Project Finance

Experience with project reports and financial projections helps create better alignment between the pitch deck and the underlying business plan.

03

Business-Specific Presentation

We do not assume that a startup, manufacturing project, MSME and established company should all use the same generic pitch-deck structure.

04

Funding Requirement With Context

The funding ask is presented in relation to business objectives, capital deployment and the proposed growth plan rather than as an isolated number.

05

Professional Scope Clarity

Scope, fees, deliverables and professional boundaries are discussed clearly before substantive work begins.

06

Confidential Handling

Business information and financial data shared for the engagement are treated professionally and used for the agreed assignment.

IMPORTANT DISTINCTION

This Is Not Positioned as a Generic PowerPoint Design Service

Professional design and visual presentation are important, but they come after the investment story has been structured.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions About Our Investor Pitch Deck Service

Clear answers before you start the engagement.

The following questions address the most common points relating to scope, fees, financial information, revisions, deliverables and fundraising support.

01 What is the professional fee for an Investor Pitch Deck? +

Our professional fee for a standalone Investor Pitch Deck starts from ₹25,000.

The final fee is confirmed after understanding the nature of the business, funding requirement, information already available and complexity of the assignment.

02 What are the payment terms? +

30% of the agreed professional fee is payable in advance at commencement of the assignment.

The remaining 70% is payable after submission of the first complete draft and client review, but before finalisation and release of the final Investor Pitch Deck.

03 What information do you need to prepare the Pitch Deck? +

We normally begin with your business overview, products or services, promoter background, market information, business model, current operations or traction, funding requirement and proposed use of funds.

Existing DPRs, financial projections, company profiles, valuation reports or previous pitch decks can also be useful where available.

04 Can you prepare a Pitch Deck if I do not already have a DPR? +

Yes, depending on the information available and the nature of the business.

However, if the investor proposition requires detailed project analysis, comprehensive financial modelling, project cost, profitability assessment or other detailed information, an Investor-Ready DPR or expanded engagement may be more appropriate.

05 Are financial projections included in the ₹25,000 Pitch Deck service? +

Relevant financial highlights can be incorporated into the Pitch Deck where suitable financial information is already available.

Preparation of a detailed Financial Model or comprehensive financial projections is not automatically included in the standalone Pitch Deck fee and may require an expanded scope.

06 Is Business Valuation included in the Pitch Deck fee? +

No. A Business Valuation assignment is a separate professional service unless specifically included in a broader engagement.

If valuation is important for the proposed fundraise, we can separately discuss the appropriate valuation scope.

07 How many revisions are allowed? +

Relevant factual corrections and reasonable revisions within the originally agreed scope are incorporated during the review process.

A major change in the business model, fundraising structure, financial assumptions or strategic direction after substantial work has already been completed may require a revised scope and additional professional fee.

08 Will I receive an editable PowerPoint file? +

The final delivery format is confirmed as part of the agreed engagement.

An editable presentation file can be included where specifically agreed in the scope, in addition to the final PDF presentation.

09 Is 12 months of fundraising support included in the ₹25,000 Pitch Deck service? +

No. The standalone Investor Pitch Deck service covers preparation, client review, agreed revisions and final delivery of the Pitch Deck.

A 12-month fundraising-support period is available under our broader Investor-Ready DPR & Fundraising Assistance engagement, subject to the agreed scope.

10 Do you help with investor introductions? +

Investor identification, investor databases, introductions, solicitation or transaction intermediation are not automatically included in the standalone Pitch Deck engagement.

Where broader fundraising assistance is required, the exact scope should be discussed separately before engagement.

11 Do you guarantee that investors will fund my business? +

No professional Pitch Deck or fundraising documentation can guarantee investment.

Investor decisions depend on business quality, market opportunity, management capability, financial performance, valuation, due diligence, commercial terms and the investor’s own evaluation.

12 Is my business and financial information kept confidential? +

Business information, financial data, projections, promoter details and funding information shared for the assignment are treated professionally and used for the agreed engagement.

The sample Pitch Deck shown on this page uses fictional and illustrative information rather than actual client confidential information.
